- Clean. Remove flip-top cap from tirzepatide vial and swab rubber stopper with alcohol.
- Draw water. Draw 2mL of bacteriostatic water into syringe.
- Inject water. Insert needle through stopper and slowly inject water down the side of the vial. Do not spray directly onto powder.
- Dissolve. Gently swirl (do not shake) until fully dissolved. Solution should be clear.
- Label. Label vial with date and concentration (5mg/mL). Refrigerate immediately.
- Dose. For 2.5mg dose: draw 0.5mL (50 units). For 5mg dose: draw 1.0mL (100 units). Inject subcutaneously once weekly.
