Reconstitution calculator

Work out the concentration of a reconstituted vial and the volume needed for a given amount.

Inputs

1 mg = 1,000 mcg

Draw volume

10 units

0.1 ml on a 1 ml syringe

Concentration
2,500 mcg/ml
Draws per vial
20

The result is arithmetic for laboratory preparation. Check it against your own protocol. PeptidesEuro products are for research use only.

How it is calculated

  1. Concentration = 5 mg × 1,000 ÷ 2 ml = 2,500 mcg/ml
  2. Draw volume = 250 mcg ÷ 2,500 mcg/ml = 0.1 ml
  3. Syringe units = 0.1 ml × 100 units/ml = 10 units
  4. Draws per vial = 5,000 mcg ÷ 250 mcg = 20, rounded down to whole draws
