TB-500

Thymosin Beta-4 Fragment

TB-500 is a synthetic peptide representing the active region of thymosin beta-4, the most abundant actin-sequestering protein in mammalian cells. It is widely studied for its role in cell migration, angiogenesis, and tissue repair processes. TB-500's mechanism — regulating actin polymerization to enable cell movement — makes it fundamentally different from other repair peptides and a mainstay of regenerative research.

Key fact

Synthetic fragment of Thymosin Beta-4; promotes systemic tissue repair via actin regulation and cell migration

Mechanism

TB-500 is a synthetic fragment corresponding to the active region of Thymosin Beta-4 (Tβ4), a 43-amino acid naturally occurring peptide. Its primary mechanism involves binding to and sequestering G-actin, modulating actin polymerization which is critical for cell migration, wound healing, and tissue repair. TB-500 promotes: upregulation of cell-building proteins (actin), cell migration to injury sites, blood vessel formation (angiogenesis), downregulation of inflammatory cytokines, and extracellular matrix remodeling with collagen fiber organization. Unlike BPC-157 (which acts locally), TB-500 has systemic reach due to its molecular structure.

Evidence note

Experimental — Strong preclinical data for wound healing and tissue repair. Thymosin Beta-4 itself has been in clinical trials (cardiac, corneal), but TB-500 specifically has no completed human RCTs. Banned by WADA in equine and human sport.

FAQ

How does it differ from BPC-157?

BPC-157 tends to act locally near the administration site, while TB-500 distributes systemically. Many researchers study both together.

What is TB-500?

A synthetic version of Thymosin Beta-4, a naturally occurring peptide involved in cell migration, tissue repair, and inflammation regulation.

What purity is guaranteed?

Every batch is third-party tested to ≥99% purity. Batch-specific COA available for download.

What's the difference between 5mg and 10mg?

Same compound, same purity. 10mg provides double the material for extended protocols.
