MOTS-c (Mitochondrial Open Reading Frame of the 12S rRNA Type-c) is a 16-amino acid peptide encoded by the mitochondrial genome (12S rRNA gene). In response to metabolic stress or exercise, MOTS-c translocates to the nucleus where it regulates antioxidant response element (ARE) genes, activates AMPK signaling, enhances skeletal muscle glucose uptake via GLUT4 translocation, increases fatty acid oxidation, and improves mitochondrial respiration. Functions as an exercise mimetic by activating exercise-responsive gene programs.

- Draw water. Draw 1mL of bacteriostatic water into syringe.

- Dissolve. Gently swirl until fully dissolved. Solution should be clear.
- Label. Label vial with date and concentration (10mg/mL). Refrigerate immediately.
- Dose. For 5mg dose: draw 0.5mL (50 units). For 10mg dose: draw full 1mL. Inject SC in abdomen.
